Beverages are NOT included with the ticket price for meal, show and train ride. A Selection of Wine, Beer, Cocktails, Cordials, and Other Beverage Delights are available for purchase on board the train. Only Cash, Visa, MasterCard or Discover are accepted on board the train. Suggested Gratuity for the meal service only is $8.00 per person.
How do I make a reservation?
For reservations, please call 239-275-8487, or use our convenient and secure online booking system. Our friendly reservations staff is available Sunday-Tuesday from 9am to 5pm, and Wednesday-Saturday from 9am to 6pm. Advanced purchase is required for all Dinner Train events.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Please have your card ready when making your reservation over the phone or online.

How do I buy gift certificates for the Murder Mystery Dinner Train or other events?
To purchase gift certificates please call 1-800-SEM-GULF or locally 239-275-8487. You can purchase gift certificates in whatever face value amount you wish. This original gift certificate must be surrendered at time of receipt of train tickets at the Colonial Station, 2805 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33996. Redeemable only for the $USD Amount stated on this gift certificate and applied only to the purchase of passenger tickets aboard the Seminole Gulf Railway, gift shop merchandise, beverage purchases, related hotel packages and applicable sales taxes. Not redeemable for cash. Non refundable. Reproductions will not be accepted. All ticket, beverage, merchandise, and hotel prices are subject to change without notice. Purchase of this gift certificate does not constitute the purchase a ticket for any train. Prepaid reservations are required for all trains to receive ticket.
How are people seated on the train?
We seat ALL guests at tables of four (4) in railroad dining tradition. Parties of 1 or 2 people are likely to be seated with another party of 1 or 2. Parties of 5 or more people will be seated at multiple tables. Our reservation staff will call you if they have any questions, and we ask that you call us if you have any questions or concerns about our seating policies and accommodations. Do I need reservations for the Dinner Train?
Yes. Prepaid advance reservations are required. Please call 1-800-SEM-GULF or locally 239-275-8487 to check availability or book your trip. No seats will be reserved for a given train without prepayment. Do not email reservation requests or cancellations.
What is your cancellation policy?
All cancellations of prepaid reservations must be made by 12 noon of the day prior to the day of departure in order to receive a refund. Otherwise refunds are not available.
When is the station open? / When can I call for reservations and information?
You may reach us at 239-275-8487 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., seven days a week except Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. The Colonial Station and Gift Shop are also open during those times. Reservationists are on duty up to the time of departure on train days.
When do I have to be at the train? / When do the trains leave the station?
All trains depart on-time from our Colonial Station in Fort Myers. All trains will return to that location. We ask that all guests arrive and check in at least forty-five minutes (3/4 hour) before the posted departure time. Guests may board the train once it has arrived in the station. Please be sure to bring your confirmation page with you to present at time of check-in. If you are using a gift certificate to pay for a portion or all of your tickets, please bring the original gift certificate with you for redemption.
Where do your trains depart from and return to?
All trains depart from and return to our Colonial Station depot in Fort Myers located at 2805 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers FL 33966.
Does the train move?
Yes. This is a REAL train that travels along a working freight rail line serving Southwest Florida. On most occasions, the Murder Mystery Dinner Train travels North from our Colonial Station to an area known as Tucker’s Grade (about a 20 mile journey). The train then heads back south to the Colonial Station along the same route, for about a 40 mile round trip. Our train, like all trains, does sway from side to side.
Do you have to pay for parking?
Free parking is available at the depot.
Are the cars used for the Murder Mystery Dinner Trains climate controlled?
All of our dining cars are climate controlled (air conditioned).
Are restrooms available on your trains?
There are restrooms available throughout the train. Our staff will be happy to point out the locations for the closest restrooms.
Is the train handicap accessible?
Accommodations for passengers with disabilities are available. Please call 1-800-SEM-GULF or locally 239-275-8487 to speak with a reservationist who will assist you in arranging and making reservations for your visit.
What kind of attire do you wear on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train?
Dress as you would when going to any fine dining establishment. A jacket or tie is not required.

Are pets allowed on the Murder Mystery Dinner Trains?
Animals are not allowed on our trains, except for Certified Seeing Eye Dogs and Hearing Assistance Dogs.
Is Smoking Allowed on the Train?
No. Smoking is not allowed on any part of the train, whether or not it is motion.
Are water vapor cigarettes, or electronic cigarettes allowed?
No. The use of any vapor or gas emitting cigarette or cigar alternative device is not allowed on any portion of the train.
Are smokeless tobacco products allowed?
No. The use of any smokeless tobacco product is not allowed on any portion of the train.
How long is the Murder Mystery Dinner Train?
Our standard Wed-Sun Murder Mystery Dinner Train is a three and a half (3-1/2) hour round trip journey. However, certain special events such as our New Year’s Eve Gala are longer.
What is the suggested gratuity for the meal and beverage service?
Gratuity on your meal is $8 per person. Your beverage service is separate and not included in the meal price. Typical gratuity on the beverage service is 15-20% of your beverage purchase.
